General Terms and Conditions

I. General Provisions

Kids Playland is a partially supervised playground. It is not a daycare center and is not under the management of Letzipark.
Use of Kids Playland is open to everyone who wishes to provide a protected play environment for children of the relevant age. A restriction applies to children who are ill or those who have suffered from a contagious disease within the last 7 days. These children may only enter Kids Playland once they have fully recovered.

In principle, there is no right of admission to Kids Playland. Reasons for refusal may include, for example, reaching capacity, a private event, illness, age, or a suspension of the child. Admission can also be refused without providing further justification.

Children of walking age up to 6 years:
Supervision cannot be delegated to Kids Playland. The responsible person must remain within Kids Playland and supervise the child themselves.

Children aged 6 and over:
Provided that the child possesses age-appropriate judgment and social skills and there are no medical objections, supervision can be delegated to Kids Playland. The responsible person must be reachable at all times and quickly available if they are not staying within Kids Playland.

Exceptions are made for specially organized events (such as children's birthday parties). The regulations for such private events are available separately.

III. Registration, handover and collection of the child

Registration: Upon visiting, the details of the responsible person and the child will be recorded, unless already collected during a previous visit. Only data strictly necessary for supervision or emergency purposes is collected. This includes personal details, the mobile number of the responsible person for prompt contact, and relevant health information about the child (e.g. allergies, diabetes, epilepsy). Withholding essential health information required for the child's care releases Kids Playland from all liability and may result in a claim being made against the responsible person. A valid government-issued photo ID of the responsible person is required (e.g. passport, national ID card, driving licence). Children who repeatedly disrupt the operation of Kids Playland despite warnings from staff may be banned from future visits. Handover: When a child is handed over to the Kids Playland supervisors, the child will receive a label containing essential information. Children with higher health risks cannot be handed over to the Kids Playland supervision and must be accompanied by the responsible person on-site at all times. This decision is made on a case-by-case basis by the Kids Playland staff. Collection: Children must be collected no later than 15 minutes before Kids Playland closes. If a child is collected late, an inconvenience fee may be charged to cover the additional time and effort involved. The responsible person collecting the child must present a valid government-issued photo ID as well as the card provided at drop-off. If a different person is collecting the child, this must be communicated at the time of drop-off, including their full name, address, nationality, phone number, and relationship to the child. The child may be collected once payment has been completed.

IV. House rules

Kids Playland is a smoke-free environment. The play area may only be entered wearing socks. Please always bring a spare pair. Eating and drinking are not permitted in the play area. The snack corner is available for this purpose. Personal items may be brought into Kids Playland at the discretion of staff following inspection. Items that may cause mess, injury, or pose a risk to other children are not permitted. Personal belongings may be left at the cloakroom. Kids Playland's own toys and equipment may not be taken home. Outside food and drinks may only be consumed with staff approval. Chewing gum is not permitted. Drinking water is available to children at all times. Lost property will be kept at Kids Playland for three months. After this period, items will be handed in to the local lost and found office. Prams and pushchairs may be left outside Kids Playland. In the event of a soiled nappy, the responsible person will be notified. They are required to either collect the child promptly or change the nappy on-site. A dedicated changing room is available for this purpose.

V. Security

The equipment at Kids Playland is TÜV-certified and maintained by staff. Nevertheless, the risk of accidents due to improper use of the equipment cannot be completely eliminated. Therefore, children must be supervised by a responsible adult. Children of a certain age who are placed in the care of Kids Playland staff will be instructed on how to use the equipment.

Besides the children and staff, only the responsible adults dropping off or picking up the child are permitted in Kids Playland. For privacy reasons, photography and filming are only allowed of your own child.

VI. Liability of the operator of Kids Playland

Kids Playland excludes all liability (contractual and non-contractual) to the extent permitted by law. This applies in particular to damages caused by slight negligence, indirect damages, consequential damages, and damages caused by auxiliary persons. Excluded from this exclusion of liability are damages resulting from gross negligence or willful misconduct on the part of Kids Playland or its officers.

No liability is accepted for lost or damaged personal items, even if these have been left in the cloakroom. Liability is only accepted for items personally handed to our staff and kept in secure storage.

VII. Liability of parents or legal guardians

Taking out liability, health, and accident insurance is the responsibility of the parents and is strongly recommended. Parents are fully liable for any physical, material, or financial damage caused by their child or children. All costs arising from illness or accident involving the child are borne entirely by the parents. Should any material information provided about the responsible person and/or the child prove to be inaccurate (see registration), liability claims may be pursued.

VIII. Data protection

Your personal data and the personal data of your children will be processed in accordance with the Swiss Federal Act on Data Protection (revDSG).

1. Lawfulness of Processing

We process your personal data based on your consent, which you give when filling out the registration form. You can withdraw your consent in whole or in part at any time.
